Therapy is a unique opportunity for an individual to meet with a trained professional who is willing and able to establish treatment goals and develop a pathway to achieve those goals. It relies on the individual’s willingness to be open and participate in the process. Therapists are instrumental in consulting with MDT about interviews and cases. These discussions may include information regarding developmental level, response to trauma, or the disclosure process.
