Goals
 To teach personal safety skills
 To decrease risk of re-victimization


Challenges

Children with developmental disabilities:
 May have a lack of boundaries, intrusive behaviors
 May be trained and/ or compliant with authority figures
 May have increased dependency on caregivers for physical needs
 Have impaired communication and or ability to disclose abuse
 Limited access to sexual education and personal safety skills
