Conjoint Sessions- Why do we have conjoint sessions?

 To increase communication between the child and parent
 To increase comfort in talking about trauma

Children with developmental disabilities may:
 engage in one sided conversation
 have difficulty engaging and responding to others

 conjoint sessions throughout treatment
 involve additional caregivers
